Live Drama

This is a great non-traditional way for TNT to reinforce their "TNT Knows Drama" tagline. This video will spread like wildfire throughout the web and will definitely be a winner for TNT. I really love live, interactive, eye-catching work like this that holds off on letting the audience know what's being advertised until the end. Sorry if I spoiled the ending.

Miller 64

I think this spot for Miller 64 is great. No, it probably won't win any awards or garner much praise from ad societies around the world, but it makes me want to go out and grab a few bottles of Miller 64 with some friends. And isn't that what advertising is really all about? Striking a certain chord with people that makes them want to go out and buy product? Seems to serve its purpose. Great ad.

Hey those goobers are back

So I have some mixed feelings about this latest move from Sonic. No, they didn't replace their carhops' roller skates with Razor scooters nor did they introduce vodka drinks into their daily 2-4pm "happy hour" (much to my dismay), but they did bring back "those 2 Sonic guys" from their old ad campaign. I personally really liked the campaign during its first go around, and felt like the campaign that replaced it was boring and very unmemorable, but I do think it's a little strange and a bit uncreative to recycle an old campaign. Although this campaign doesn't seem to have changed much, I'm still excited to see some new stuff from these two guys, and I am sure their TV spots will be exciting, fresh, and funny. Maybe it won't be such a bad idea to take a concept that has worked in the past and try to revamp it. My guess is that this will end up being a good move for the brand. I guess we'll have to wait and see how things go.

Budweiser Official Big Game

If you're a sports fan and this video doesn't give you chills, I think something is wrong with you. For years, Budweiser has been widely known to do some amazing stuff with their advertising and PR, and this event, just like all of their other work, is nothing short of amazing. Giving these ordinary, rec-league hockey players the chance to experience what it's like to play in front of a packed crowd, with mascots, instant replays, and a confetti shower after the final goal, is one of the coolest things I've ever seen a company do in a PR event. Through this video, Budweiser makes it known that they care about their customers and that they're willing to do something special to help a few average joe's have an incredible experience they'll never forget. The looks on those players' faces makes you know that all of the trouble Budweiser went through to set this up was completely worth it. Simply awesome.

GearWrench

Ok, so I'll admit it. I'm a huge fan of print ads. These pieces produced by Baldwin & Durham are simply beautiful. I love the how the typefaces, the photography, and the background all come together so seamlessly to make for a series of stunning print work. These ads just fit the look and feel of a tool and hardware company so perfectly, and staring at them over and over is making me want to hang copies of these prints on my wall for inspiration. Fantastic new work out of Raleigh, NC.

Whopper Virgins

Director Stacy Peralta and crew took Whoppers from Burger King and Big Macs from McDonald's to remote areas of Thailand, Romania, and Greenland to give some locals their first ever taste of an American hamburger. The resulting documentary unbelievably fascinating.

And yes, that's the former world champion skateboarder, Stacy Peralta.
