
Publicis did a great job producing this ad for their client, Sominex Nighttime Sleep-Aid. They used a simple picture to create a resonating metaphor that is easily understood, yet still an innovative idea at the same time. Publicis has made a couple of other ads that resemble this one closely, but instead of a frying pan, one features a mallet and the other a boxing glove emerging from the Sominex box. These ads allows someone who has no previous familiarity with this product to immediately understand both its use and its effectiveness in an amusing and efficient way.
