This is the extended version of an ad from a controversial campaign for Trojan Condoms. The message of the ad is basically, "you are a pig if you don't use a condom." I think that this is one of the stranger spots on TV. The cell phone-toting and martini-drinking pigs were really creepy, but I guess also effective at getting the message across. It's got to be pretty difficult to create a national advertising campaign for a condom brand, mainly because people are so easily offended. The ad probably did not sit very well with everyone, which is likely the reason that the campaign was deemed so controversial. Additionally, this campaign is unique in that its main focus is on pregnancy prevention, rather than disease prevention or pleasure like most other condom ads. They definitely took some risks with this spot, but I feel like it is one of the better ads in this brand category.
